Hennessey Exorcist -- 1,000bhp, n/a miles
Obviously, Texan horsepower fetishist John Hennessey couldn't allow Dodge enjoy the spoils of war for extended without devoting his own unleaded-swilling riposte -- with a cheeky title to boot. The Exorcist is, as you can see, according to a Camaro ZL1 (or even the more monitor focused 1LE, if you prefer), and, ahem, trumps the Dodge option by developing 1,000bhp. The best speed is so far unknown, but since the 0-60mph period is sub 3sec, we think you'll agree it deserves a place among 2017's very unhinged performance automobiles,
ceramic glass paint.
McLaren 720S -- 710bhp, 211mph
The McLaren 720S has attracted hypercar performance to the supercar realm. It's vividly quick, and on the street, you'd struggle to spot a gap in urge between it and the P1. But besides being a land-borne missile, it's also truly engaging to drive at reduced speed and exceptionally friendly and approachable, which can be much more of an achievement than its spectacular performance. It's TG's supercar of this year.
Bentley Continental Supersports -- 700bhp, 209mph
Bet you'd forgotten about this one. Yes, just before Bentley wowed us with all the sleeker, more raffish brand new Continental GT, it generated a Supersports version of the incoming car. And the headline was rather simply this: seven hundred horsepower. And that's proper Victorian British imperial reel. It's perhaps not the most populous car on this listing by a margin, but this really is the reigning speed champ one of Bentleys, also incongruously magnificent as a result.
Ferrari 812 Superfast -- 789bhp, 211mph
We live in a mad, mad world. Among many pieces of evidence that this is true is that the fact that Ferrari's series-production big-booted GT car is powered by a 789bhp V12 that'll ship it beyond 62mph in 2.9 seconds and to a top rate of 211mph. If that is one of the last of those classic V12 supercars, until hybrids and turbos eventually kill them off, then what a way to go.
Mercedes-AMG Project One -- 1,000bhp , 217mph
No-one outside of AMG has yet driven the Mercedes F1 car for the road known so far just as Project One, but its own stats are appropriately barmy to create the cut in this list. Revealed in time for the 2017 Frankfurt motor show, the ultimate AMG promises to launch from 0-124mph in under six seconds, which means that thanks to its AWD hybrid grip, it'll eliminate the line as quick as an actual F1 car. While, ideally, creating a much neater noise...
Dodge Demon -- 840bhp, 168mph
The first road-certified mill car to be officially capable of wheelies (or even wheelstands, we assume ) is the Dodge Hellcat's more evil, quarter-mile-munching twin. It's a drag-race monster with an 840bhp supercharged V8 heart, although that sub-170mph top speed is the cheapest in this list, the Demon's ability to launch from 0-60mph in a verifiable 2.3 seconds is as impressive as it is barmy. A worthy addition to the annals of muscle car legend.
